Bioamber
Bioamber has positioned itself as a leader in white biotechnology. Bioamber is the first company to successfully develop a commercially viable technology for the production of succinic acid by fermentation of various renewable feedstocks. This was made possible by the scientific, technical and commercial expertise of its two shareholders, ARD and DNP Green Technology following a research and development partnership initiated in 2006.
Bioamber's goal is to make bio-based succinic acid competitive with maleic anhydride and therefore a viable platform molecule for four-carbon chemistry.
Additionnally, Bioamber is doing its part in the fight against global warming. Its fermentation technology makes it possible to capture atmospheric carbon dioxide in two ways: capture of CO2 by plants, which convert it into sugar that is then fermented in a CO2-enriched atmosphere.
