Succinic acid is a non-volatile, odorless, colorless and Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). BioAmber’s succinate esters and other derivatives of bio-succinic are natural ingredients that can be used as specialty surfactants and emollients in a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products including:
