Payroll / Accounting Associate

Job Description

-Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Payroll/Accounting Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll. 
- Responsible for creating and posting customer sales invoices, posting customer payments and rectifying any variances that may arise in customer files.
-Promote a strong collaborative working environment within the Finance department.
·         Accurately issue pay to all BioAmber employees by calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and deadlines.
·         Update payroll records by recording changes including terminations, promotions, salary increases, etc.
·         Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.
·         Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations and guidelines
·         Post Customer invoices while verifying accurate G/L selections
·         Post customer payments by recording cash, checks and EFT deposits.
·         Update receivables on a weekly basis
·         Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, verifying totals, preparing reports.

Job Qualifications

·         College Diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Payroll
·         Experience working with Ceridian – Power Pay and Day Force
·         Strong numerical skills
·         Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements
·         Union Payroll will be considered an asset
·         Experience with collections
