    Bioamber and DuPont Applied BioSciences Announce Licensing Agreement on Derivatives of Biobased Succinic Acid

    Princeton, NJ – July 8, 2010 – Bioamber, a joint venture between DNP Green Technology and ARD, and DuPont Applied BioSciences, have announced a licensing agreement in the field of biobased derivatives of succinic acid. Under the terms of the agreement, Bioamber has licensed certain DuPont technology and DuPont has a right of first refusal to secure off-take from future commercial plants. Bioamber, which recently commissioned the world’s first biobased succinic acid plant, is actively developing technologies to transform biobased succinic acid into value-added derivative products. “DuPont’s technology will accelerate our development program and shorten our time to market,” stated Jean-Francois Huc, President of DNP Green. “Our agreement with DuPont Applied BioSciences will help ensure that we are first to market, and it could reduce the commercial risk associated with building large plants,” he added.

    Bioamber and Mitsui & Co., Ltd Partner for Biobased Succinic Acid Distribution in Asia

    Princeton, New Jersey, April 15, 2010 Bioamber (a joint venture between DNP Green Technology and ARD) and Mitsui & Co. Ltd have signed an agreement granting Mitsui exclusive Asian distribution rights for Bioamber’s biobased succinic acid. Bioamber recently commissioned the world’s first biobased succinic acid production facility in Pomacle, France. The annual production capacity is 2,000 MT.

    DNP Green Technology and GreenField Ethanol are Partnering to build a Biobased Succinic Acid De-icer Plant

    Princeton, New Jersey, March 25, 2010, DNP Green Technology and GreenField Ethanol announced a partnership to build a $ 50 million biobased succinic acid refinery that will produce a new generation of environmentally friendly de-icing solutions. The succinic acid technology will be licensed from Bioamber. This innovative, biorenewable de-icer has a negative carbon footprint and is less corrosive than traditional de-icers.

    Bioamber Commissions World’s First Renewable Succinic Acid Plant

    Pomacle, France, January 20th, 2010: Bioamber, a joint venture between US-based DNP Green Technology and France-based ARD (Agro-industrie Recherches et Développements), announces the successful start-up and commissioning of the world’s first bio-based succinic acid plant. Since December 2009, the plant has been producing renewable succinic acid from wheat derived glucose.
